Joe Kuster

In this example, I am using an application listed in the iOS store. If a side loaded application is required, it must first be wrapped using the iOS Mobile Application Management Wrapper, and the resulting *.IPA file uploaded but all other steps are identical.

Prerequisites: Intune tenant configured, iTunes installed

Windows 7 says Goodbye to Mainstream Support

Joe Kuster

Windows 7 is leaving mainstream support affected Jan 13, 2014.

Here’s the important highlights:

  • Security Updates will continue being released
  • New features and non-security updates will no longer be released
  • Hotfixes will be released, but only if they are security related
  • Free support tickets for Windows 7 are no longer, but paid support is available
  • Businesses can sign up for extended hotfix support if you want continued hotfix support for non-security issues
  • This is different from the recent XP support change as XP is no longer getting any updates, including security, unless the business pays for extended support.
